Mascots for Beijing 2008 Olympics

When I first saw these mascots, I really thought I was seeing something ugly... but when I look at them again, they are cute. If you notice at the top of each mascot's head, there are some meaning to it. Yea... there is but I just could not make them out cause I am english educated. I guess those who studied chinese will know what those symbols mean. I just find them cute... Anyways, they are as tall as me but I am slimmer lar.. haha.....
