A Day Out in Danga Bay

My first time to Danga Bay, so called the most anticipating place I heard many times. I asked Franco how is Danga Bay and his reply is just "Oklar... It is a nice place but nothing compared to other places. A nice place for a family day..."

Anyway, we stayed in Hyatt for the night. It is a fun mini trip as I get to stay in a 5-star hotel.. but seriously, there is nothing 5-star about it. The room seems old, so I did not take any pictures... Nothing to "Ooo.... Aahh..." about it.

Danga Bay is a small town to me. By the sea (it is actually not a sea, but the straits in between Johor and Singapore) but then the place is special cause it has a Danga Bay amusement park there. After walking around at Danga Bay Festive Mall or Walk... (I cannot remember), we ended up having our meal at Secret Recipe before attending his colleague's wedding dinner.

Ice blended orange juice and fresh tropical fruit juice are a great thirst quenching drinks when you have not had a glass of water for almost half aday. Believe me, I gulp down my tropical juice till 1-3rd left in the glass. Too thirsty.

Looking at the menu, I suddenly craved for something sour and spicy. I ordered Tom Yam with King Prawn. He ordered Baked Macaroni and Cheese. Hehe... of course I ate his macaroni because how can I reject cheese? I just love cheese, but I cannot eat too much of it cause it is fattening.

After a scrumptuous meal, we headed down (walking for around 30 minutes) to Danga Bay amusement park to attend the wedding dinner. Well, as expected the meal was served very late. The invitation card printed 6.30pm that dinner will be served, but in the end it was 8.30pm. 2 hours delay... I guess Asians are known for their punctuality. I practically had a neutral feeling about the dinner because I do not know anyone there and does he. The food was so-so only... so no pics to share...... :-(

Just a pic to show how the tables were numbered... balloons that hold the table number.

The main entrance of Hyatt. Overall, I did enjoy my trip to Danga Bay with Kee Yew. I wish I can have another short trip with him... Live in a luxury moment...
