Downtown East

After a long time planning of wanting to do something different from shopping (which is the only common thing that can be done in Singapore) I decided to have some fun.

Downtown East is a place for family to have fun. Trust me, it has lots of fun but the place is not as big as I anticipated.

This is where I lined up to purchase my ticket.

While lining up, I noticed as directory list with an attractive name.... Mr Bean... Hmm, I wonder why there is such shop that has Mr Bean's name... I did not visit the shop but my guess is that the shop is selling all stuffs to what of Mr Bean's likings.

After purchasing the key, I thought I would receive a wristband like in "Rain Forest Music Festival" or "Genting Theme Park", but instead I received a funkey with a elastic band to place on the wrist. This key enables you to place the amount of you money you want and acts like a debit card. You can do moneyless transaction while you are inside the park having fun.

This is the entry of the fun place I am about to explore.

1st impression... "Ok lar... so so nia...." but at least I get to play water even thought I do not know how to swim.. Muahahaha....

I tried this "cycling" in mid air... so.. it is damn scary... imagine your cycle is only strapped with 4 wheels to a single pole... and your speed is based on your strength.... with this height, I do not think you would want to cycle alone... shit... damn scary... "WARNING: Those with heart problem and are afraid of heights, please do not attempt to try at all!!"

This is the fun part of the whole place. There is a timer for the water to be filled up and once it is going to be full, there will be a bell sound to signal the crowd. As you can see in the picture, people are gathering at the bottom to get "dumped". I did not try it but the looks of it is fun. Why did I not try it? I am scared lar.... I will feel suffocated with such amount of water gushing onto me.. I feel like I am drowning... :-(

I know the picture is blur and you must be wondering what I am trying to show... but if you really have good eye sight, then you can see what I am trying to highlight. It is an invisible pass for your unlimited entry for the day.

After a day of fun, my hunger is overcome with a scrumptious meal of Burger King.

Other some bits of fun to do after a fun day of water playing.

Horse riding anyone?

Bye bye to Downtown East.........
PS: the invisible key is a UV light chop..

Mmm...

Cham Pan Zi... is a Hakka delicacy. Made out of yam and glutoneous rice. It tastes like pepperish muachi.

Woo... this is my favourite. Ice cream bread... and it is only 80cents.

Name

OMG... what a name. John Sundahl?!! I know Sundahl is pronouced as sun-dall but it really sounds the same as the malay word "sundal"... I cannot remember the meaning of the name but I know it is not a good word or meaning. The famous phrase used always is "perempuan sundal". Can anyone tell me the meaning?

Crossed Eye

Even cats are "juling".. haha... I came across this picture while reading one of my favourite sites and this picture caught my attention.

Have you ever wonder.....

How a panda mate? *chuckles*

Why a camera man has an umbrella just for his camera? I guess his camera is worth much more than him!

A Sumo-wrestler can have normal babies???!!! Haha... I really find this picture funny!

How on earth can they send that lady over to the other side of the hill.. amazing.....

Colours

OMG, it is affordable to get "Sally Hansen" and I bought 6 altogether at one go. I love to paint my nails.

With that, my collections are added. Sorry to disappoint you all but I have not really painted my nails nicely.

Quit Smoking

How NPB (non profit bodies) come up with the idea of "Quit Smoking Campaign". First it is by having a very gross picture pasted on cigarrete boxes. It is illegal to smoke a cigarette brand if there is no such pictures on the box in Singapore.

With creative mind, a notepad which looks like a cigarette box.

And here are the 4Ds (not the lucky winning 4D.. Magnum or TOTO!!).

So you see, the quit smoking campaign still lose the triumph to smokers. Smokers can never quit smoking!

Heart Broken

Imagine on how you take care of your favourite mobile phone just like your newborn baby... if your eyes are sharp, then you know why I am heart broken. *sob sob*

Flashback

Here are some flashbacks of mine while I was still back in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. A very nice place to retire cause of the "old fashion" ways and not so developed town. I love Kuching and it is one of my options for retiring place.

My Santubong hiking back in 2005 with my Etch (X-Fab) colleagues.

2005 SHE promotion tour concert. The Etch ladies from X-fab with a torn among the roses which is my ex-Etch Metal AE, now he is pursuing his degree.

Etch Oxide (X-Fab) dinner, my farewell dinner, in March 2007 before I left for my new job.

Etch module dinner (X-Fab) in 2006. Here are some of my colleagues posing for picture taking and at the back where the guys are "yam seng-ing" to see who gets drunk first.. (I am at the back sitting down seeing them enjoying toxicating themselves.. haha).

Cosy Bar

Ever been to Cosy Bar? I never knew this place is quite nice, and as a matter of fact, cosy too.

The scenery is beautiful from the table I was set to. The food that I ordered, something German sausage with cheese in the middle... Hmm.. doesn' it look like something familiar? *wink*

And the pool table is great but I just watch these group of friends playing, turn after turn.

Free salted popcorn (popular in Australia and Singapore) if order 3 jugs of beer.

Yummy... Never ever wondered that salted popcorn has indeed quite a favourable taste. Of course with the happy hours and all, smokers are smokers and they can never quit until something happens to them. So anyways, here is the evidence of smoking too many in a night.

And of course with all the smokings and laughing, we all get to dig into a little bit of snack. Fried chicken wings. And guess what? It is also saltish.. What is with Singaporeans and salt? Isn't the island is already surrounded with sea water and they are all very health concious? Salted pocorn! Salted chicken wings! What else are salted? Hmm.. thank god my dinner was not saltish, though the sausages were a little saltish but it is satisfactory indeed.. *wink*

So if anybody loves a good chill out, Cosy bar is quite nice. Alot of "ang mor"s around to "wash" your eyes (not that there were any that came to my interest.. haha!).

Can't Sleep

Imagine sleeping at 11pm but woken up by dunno-wat thing at 3am? So, to try to make me fall asleep again, I do blogging, but in the end it makes me stay awake! Hmm...... not a good idea after all.. So I decided to do some surfing to my favourite sites and this is what I came upon......

Angelina Jolie, isn't she beautiful? To think of the perfect female in the world, she will be my first pick. Perfection is the word to describe her.

Psst.. I love her hair..

4 Generations

I cannot believe it when I actually saw them lining up.. and I could not resist the temptation to actually capture this beautiful moment.... they are the ones that kept me going from my downs....

Can you believe it? K700i was my first Sony Ericsson baby... She served me for more than 2 years.... but I could not resist the temptation of my new baby..... W880i... muah...

Who would have thought that I would spend my first salary in Singapore to purchase myself a slim W880i... The price? Hmm... I shall not reveal it but hey, if I can afford it, so can you!! I just love Sony Ericsson. My first mobile phone is an Ericsson, limited edition from the movie James Bond 007 Tomorrow Never Dies. Sorry my friends, no memories of him cause it has departed from me 10 years ago... *sob sob*

Beauty

This is my beautiful niece, Gwen. She is almost 1 year and she is so adorable. I really miss her. She really looks like a doll. My brother & sis-in-law are so proud of her... Even my mom adores her.

Sick...

OMG... being sick is not something to laugh and be happy about because you get to stay away from work. It really makes you feel depressed... Imagine getting diarrhoea for the past 1 week, then you are down with fever when your diarrhoea stops? Everyone telling me that it is because I am still not used to Singapore... I wonder!!
Anyways, now that I am better I want to continue blogging. Haha... As a matter of fact, I want to be active again and not lying on bed the whole day. Makes me feel so unkempt. So, working is better than not working (at least I will not feel bored, doing nothing at home & looking at the four walls)!

The Birth

After reading so many people's blog, suddenly I am inspired to start my own. So here it is but I wonder what to put into my blog.

For starters, here is a picture of the birth of my blog (just signed up for one!). I know it is quite lame but I am excited about blogging. So please forgive me if the beginning is not attractive at all, but hey, I know I can do better as time goes by.

Mosquito Bites

My trip to Kuching for CNY was a fruitful one in terms of food to my belly but negative to the mosquitoes. I had many marks of the bites.

See the bites??? They are so red.. Mosquitoes in Kuching seems to love y blood as I was the only one in the house getting bitten all over my exposed skin.

I caught on video but i guess i have no idea how to upload it in here. The video may not be a good way to record because I was holding the mobile on one hand and the other pointing. Haha... Amateur!! And it was shaking, so maybe not worth publishing it too.

OPI Nail Polish

Ok.. I started to have the frenzy of getting OPI nail polish for a long time because I find it pricy and no discount at all. Then I got to know that Metro gives own discount to OPI and I started to collect it. Though it is abit too late but heck carea because I find it better than any other nail polisher.

My initial colors that I started with.
(left to right)
An affair in red square
Sweet heart
Alpine snow
I think in pink
Malaga Wine

Then I added 2 new more colors to my collection.

Lucky lucky lavendar
Show it and glow it

I got these 2 because I want to have a purple theme this time. I just love lavendar. My room is lavendar color!!

My complete collection now. I can say favourite color is still "an affair in red square".

I can recommend this nail polish as I see it doesn't leave a yellow stain to my nails. A good buy but abit pricy in Singapore but I guess good product is worth buying.
